Matt Hammond has developed a reputation as a musical chameleon. From his work with artists across diverse genres - both as a player and engineer - Matt has gained a unique perspective on the creative process which always compliments his collaborators.
Matt gained his Bachelor Of Audio Engineering And Production from MAINZ in 2021, and took those skills to kickstart his first independent project studio - Tin Dolphin. Dozens of artists came through the door and together with Matt completed several albums, single recordings, and genuinely had a blast doing so.
In early 2025 it sadly came time for Tin Dolphin to close, and now a year later Matt is taking everything he learned over to the bigger, badder Axiom Recording Studio.
Matt’s Approach:
Taking the time to get things right at the source goes a long way in ensuring your music has the intended emotional impact. This can be as broad as the instrument tuning, microphone selection, or as subtle as the mood of the room and performing artist. Matt ensures to take a considered approach when recording, balancing efficiency and pausing to make important change.
